| ✔Consume it raw every morning, as a 100% natural food supplement! The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 20g of olive oil, based on the health claim (EU Health claim 432/2012)*. *The health claim refers to the protective role of phenolic compounds against the oxidation of blood lipids, one of the key mechanisms associated with the development of cardiovascular diseases. The condition is that the daily consumption of olive oil is 20g of olive oil with a minimum content of 250mg of polyphenols per kg of oil. |
►Our polyphenolic olive oil is produced from unripe organically grown green olives, which are harvested a few hours before the olive oil is produced.
We produce it in our olive press, in a traditional way and with the knowledge of our many years of experience, using the method of cold extraction. With this way we achieve the preservation of all its valuable organoleptic characteristics.
It is characterized by its fruity unique taste and the slight burning in the throat, which also proves the presence of polyphenols.
Oleocanthal and Oleasin are two of the most important polyphenols, which are observed in very high levels in our olive oil.
Specifically, it contains Oleocanthal: 503 mg/kg and Oleasin: 144 mg/kg and Total number of Polyphenols: 749 mg/kg
In the following link, certificate of analysis from the World Olive Center for Health, you will find all the values of the phenols contained in our olive oil.
Oleasin has attracted the interest of researchers internationally, because it is the most powerful antioxidant component of olive oil.
IN HUNDREDS OF RESEARCH, POLYPHENOLS HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH VARIOUS HEALTH BENEFITS:
✅ Polyphenols reduce the risk of heart disease, mainly due to their antioxidant properties. Antioxidants help reduce chronic inflammation, the primary risk factor for heart disease. Consumption of polyphenols is also connected to the risk of blood clots, as it prevents excessive aggregation of platelets.
✅ Polyphenols reduce the risk of diabetes. They have been shown to lower blood sugar levels, which reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes. A study, published in the British Journal of Medicine, found that participants who consumed large amounts of polyphenol-rich foods had 57% less chances of developing type 2 diabetes over a period of two to four years compared to people who consumed very low amounts of polyphenols. Polyphenols help stimulate insulin secretion, which helps move sugar out of the bloodstream and into cells. This keeps blood sugar levels stable.
✅ Polyphenols restore gut bacteria. Along with preventing certain chronic diseases, some scientific studies show that extra virgin olive oil high in phenols promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, which aids digestion.
✅ Polyphenols help patients with cancer and dementia. They have been connected to a lower risk of prostate cancer and breast cancer. Studies have shown that polyphenols inhibit the growth of these types of cancer cells. As a result, oleocanthal therapies can be effective as part of targeted therapy for certain types of breast cancer patients.
What oleocanthal and oleasin are?
◉Oleocanthal and Oleasin, which are derivatives of tyrosol (Tyrosol) and hydroxytyrosol (Hydroxytyrosol), as well as the monoaldehyde and dialdehyde form of the aglycoses of Ligstroside (Ligstroside) and Oleuropein (Oleuropein), respectively, are characterized by strong biological effect.
In particular, oleocanthal stands out for its anti-inflammatory effect, which is considered comparable to the classical administered drugs. In fact, it is reported that 40 ml (milliliters) of extra virgin olive oil is equivalent to 250 mg (milligrams) of the drug Ibuprofen.
Oleocanthal has been found by research to also have anti-cancer, anti-cholesterol and anti-Alzheimer effects. It was even found that this substance can kill cancer cells within 30 minutes to 2 hours, without harming the healthy ones. References also exist for these substances and for their antioxidant, antihypertensive neuroprotective, cardioprotective antiaging and anti-osteoporosis effect.
◉These results are nothing more than the scientific documentation of the ancient Greek doctors. Dioskouridis recommended for better health the early harvest olive oil known in antiquity as "omfakino" or "omotrives". In the Hippocratic Code there are over 63 uses of olive oil for the treatment of diseases. Plutarch in his "Ethics" mentions the use of "water oil" to treat mastitis. In the sanctuary of Asclepius of Levina, in Crete, where Hygieia Soteira was worshipped, olive oil was used to prepare special ointments and cures. Democritus placed great importance on anointing the body with oil to maintain health.
